I have opinions. Like it or not.

When you visit your lab after a whole week and end up doing nothing…

Part I

… you take up tags from people’s blogs! So, looks like I have to finally cease and desist living in denial and accept the following 5 quirks that I have.. Hmph!

1.) I am obsessive-compulsive about cleaning. People who do know me will tell you that my OCD has reached scary proportions at times. I simply cannot stand to be in a messy house. I stop thinking.

2.) My email inbox has to be empty. Every single mail I receive has to be tagged and labeled. Junk mail has to be deleted. Inbox MUST be empty.

3.) Every single person on my GTalk/Yahoo has to be named by first name and last name. No user IDs please.

4.) I will not touch food if it has even a remote trace of egg-plant in it. Or karela. Or plantain.

5.) I have very little faith in others’ abilities. If something needs to be done and I can entrust it to someone, I will make sure I do it myself.

I know, I know… I need therapy!

Part II

… you add another tag. From here. I have to list one fact related to my life for every letter of my middle name. Now, I don’t have a middle name, I’m not going to reveal my first and Galadriel is way too long; so I’m using a name that people very close to me use. I also have to mention the following rules.

The three rules to be followed are:
a) The rules must be mentioned in the beginning of the tag.
b) You must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
c) At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

I – Inquisitive. I have a very curious nature and this insane desire to know everything. And more.

N – Nutty. As a fruitcake.

D – Dry. I am not sentimental or emotional. I’m not even sweet. Especially with people who really care.

U – Unpredictable. People never know what I’m going to say. Or do. Or think. Sucks.

Sucks to be me, doesn’t it? 😛

Now you go!

Friends… Forever?

We met at some coaching center about 10 years ago. She was the exact antithesis of me. Fair, attractive, bubbly. It seemed like the world was extremely amusing to her. And I was the quintessential geek, head-down, not messing around with strangers. We spoke after class. She was one of the few people there with a halfway decent interest in books. Just as me. I was fascinated by her, she was so unlike me. Perhaps that’s why we hit it off so well.

Ups and downs. We fought and made up. And fought again. Swore to be BFF (don’t judge me, I was 15!?!). Pajama parties, sleep overs. Hot chocolate at 3 in the morning and talking. Just talking.

Crying on each other’s shoulders. Wiping each other’s tears. Hugging each other before going to sleep. Calling everyday to say hi. Coming over any damn time just ‘coz one of us was bored. Laughing at each other’s silly jokes.

Tasting wine for the first time. And hating it equally bad. Smoking for the first time ever. Coughing our butts off. Hiding the cigarettes and spraying deodorants so it wouldn’t smell.

Buying books together. Watching lame movies and laughing ourselves silly. Wearing each other’s clothes. And jewelry. Shopping for each other. Shopping together. Deciding what will look good and what won’t for each other.

Falling in love. Describing it to one another. Things falling apart. Not losing our minds just because we had each other to talk to. Losing my mind just because she wasn’t here in the US with me when I desperately needed her.

Gossiping on chat. On the phone. Missing each other desperately. Telling each other that.

Thanks for everything babe. I miss you. BFF.

This is what I love about blogs. You can just crap away to glory!

1. Who are you?

<Real Name Here>. 24. Graduate Student Rutgers University. Frank, opinionated, outgoing. Tall, dark, reasonably attractive. Obsessive-compulsive, PMS-ive, unemotional. Oh, and I’m always right.

I have opinions, like it or not.

I love walking barefoot in the rain.

I hate deception of any sort.

The world we live in

Is it true, that in this day and age, people like this exist? What’s more, is this. At least, it’s statistically proven to be environment dependent.

I watched Crash. I’m astounded. I don’t know what to believe anymore.

Funnily enough, Crash doesn’t talk about Indians. I wonder why?

Other news:

I submitted my proposal, now awaiting comments.

Rutgers beat the crap out of USF. Go RU!!!!!

Loneliness scares me. Shitless.
